Resource Thickened Apple Custard 114ml (Nestle)

Available in 114ml cups in Syrup and Custard consistencies, and in Orange and Apple flavours; 12 x 114ml cups per case.

Uses
Resource® Thickened Drinks are ready to use, single serve, pre-thickened drinks for patients with swallowing difficulties.

ACBS approved, prescribable on FP10 (GP10 in Scotland) for patients requiring thickened fluids for the management of dysphagia. Conditions such as stroke, Parkinson’s disease, muscular dystrophy, motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis, neurological disorders caused by injury or disease, and malignancies of the oral cavity and throat. For enteral use only.

Ingredients:

Resource® Thickened Orange Drink – Syrup and Custard consistencies: Water, Concentrated Orange juice, Maltodextrin, Modified starch, Sugar, Flavouring, Vitamin C.
Resource® Thickened Apple Drink – Syrup and Custard consistencies: Water, Concentrated Apple juice, Maltodextrin, Modified starch, Sugar, Flavouring, Vitamin C.

Administration and Dosage:

The amount and consistency administered should be advised by a speech and language therapist and dietitian.

Shelf life and storage:

• 12 months. Best before date: see top of cup.

• Should be stored unopened in cool, dry conditions.

• Once opened, store in a refrigerator and consume within 24 hours.

Contraindications:

• Not for intravenous use.

• Not suitable for children under 1 year of age.

Precautions:

• Not suitable as a sole source of nutrition.

• Must be used under medical supervision.
